Where do I recycle a laptop battery?

Do I just chuck it into a recycling bin that the garbagemen pickup?

Depends on where in the world you live. Do a search for a recycling center in or near the town you live in. (I don’t know where you live or I would have provided a link) DO NOT throw it in the trash!

I would take it to a local battery specialist. You may even call a few stores like Staples. They sometimes take these as an incentive to get people into their stores. That is why they give you a couple bucks for your empty ink cartridges.

Most cities have battery shops and they will purchase them for about a 50 cents… Let your fingers.mouse do the yellow page stroll, and make a few phone calls, find a shop on your daily route and sell them your non-working battery… My used battery store sells lots of interesting things, (Used/ Recycled Solar panels)

My current project is to use several small solar panels to make a small inexpensive system to run a few low watt outside lights. Yes the used battery shop is the place to visit, 50 cents is nothing but discovering a world you did not know is well worth the trip…

JR

Interstate batteries. They recycle them.

the battery can be recycled, put it into the recycle bin and there are specialize people will classification them.

and toshiba android tablet

toshiba android tablet get My old one has something wrong with it, I’m not sure what. It freezes right away even as I boot it up. I’m unable to even log into my account, so I can’t access anything.

Since it’s so messed up, wold it be safe to take it somewhere without removing the hard drive? (I don’t want people to be able to access my personal information.)

Where should I take it?

there are two things you can do
1. get a magnet rub it against your laptop
or
2. go to a pc place and they can help you there

smash it with a hammer
its free
it keeps your information safe
and its fun =D
