i have a laptop that doesnt work anymore is there such thing as recycling it?
Yes you can still recycle it, it could be used as scrap or some parts could be reused/sold
You could still sell the parts of the laptop to a computer shop near you
its actually better way than just throwing out and it may cost upto 50$ or more depending on the
laptop.
Its good decision to recycle
Contact your local Chamber of Commerce. Sometimes an Electronics Recycling company will contract with the city and set up one or two days at a shopping center or a parking lot somewhere where they will take the electronic equipment off your hands for free.
(Which really sounds weird, coz you know they’re making money doing this. But consider — it’s illegal to throw some of this stuff in the trash, and the landfill will charge you — so, go ahead and let ‘em make a buck, it saves you the hassle.)
Where I live, they usually have something going about every other month or so. But they don’t advertise on TV, so if you happen to miss the little signs (barely bigger than a garage sale sign) or you don’t find out otherwise, you’ll just miss the event.
toshiba tablet pc get I replaced a dead battery for a new one for a MacBook. How do I recycle it? Also, how long should I initially charge the new one?
(just a note to myself: you installed the new battery on 11/14 at 6:45pm)
Usually 18-24 hours is a good charge time for lithium-ion cells. Take the old one back to an Apple Store. They probably have a recycling program there. If not, your local recycling centre (a.k.a. the dump) will be able to accept it.
Bestbuy and most other electronics stores take them. Walmart too.
