Where can I recycle electronics?

I have an old TV that I want to recycle.

Can I recycle old laptop batteries in Best Buy?
I also have a keyboard.

I’d say you’d be able to, but if not they should be able to tell you where else you could do it :)

Sainsbury’s recycle most things at there store. The definitely take batteries. If you are in America…well.. take a holiday advertised to your work colleges as a ‘trip to help the environment’! :)

I glanced at a newspaper once(one of the only times in my life except if I’m really bored and want to read comics) and It mentioned that there was a recycling thing for electronics going on somewhere. Keep your head up and look in the newspaper every so often, and those things will be out in no time.

land fill. that’s why they have them

Call your city or county (or whoever collects your recycling) and ask them where to take electronics for recycling. In my area there’s a specially designated “household hazardous waste” site at the local landfill where these things are accepted. They even take car batteries, used motor oil, paint etc, anything that should never end up in the landfill.

Some municipalities have laws against inappropriate recycling. As well, some recycling companies are simply fronts to get the parts in your electronic equipment.

To be sure, simply contact your city or town administration folks who will have a list of authorized recycling centers for you. They will also likely have them listed on the city or town’s own web site.

Nothing. I tried.

The universe would explode.

Pretty sure thats impossible…. Lol

Do it, I dare you!

You would loose your shortcut and need to create another one.

Laurie: everyone knows the universe would implode – not explode.

Nothing, you are just deleting the shortcut.

If you want the shortcut back just go to: right click your desktop > personalization > on the left side click change desktop icons. Check the box for recycle bin, and it will be on your desktop again.
