Deleted recycle bin icon on desktop. How do i get it back?

I have a new Toshiba laptop PC. I accidently “deletedthe recycle bin icon on my desktop. Does anyone know how i get it back?

good question thanks I too did the same thing on here and I too have a toshiba laptop please if you get a response tell me too so i can do it too thanks my email address eeyore2240@yahoo.com add me as a contact thanks

you have not deleted it,
it is a system file and therefore can NOT be deleted you have just hidden it.

right click on an empty area of your desktop > arrange icons by > show desktop items

I think all you would have to do is go to Start and hit Search. If you search for recycle bin, it should pop up in the result list and you can just drag the icon back onto the desktop.

Click on Start and then click on Help and Support
Type RECYCLE BIN in the Search box,
Click on Show or hide the Recycle Bin or add icon to desktop .

It would be helpful if you gave your OS

for vista: go to personalization window(right click on desktop>personalize) and click on change desktop icons(located on right hand side of the frame)

for xp: 1. Right click an area of empty space on the desktop and click Properties.
2. Click the Desktop tab.
3. Click the Customize Desktop button.
4. Select the icons you want added to your desktop.
5. Click OK.
6. Click OK to close the Desktop Properties windows.

1.Right click on desktop
2.Click Personalize
3.On left click change desktop icons
4.Click Recycle Bin
5.Then Thats It

Windows 7:
1. Right Click on Desktop
2. Personalize
3. Then on the left side click “Change Desktop Icons”
4. Then at the top of the small window, make sure that the Recycle Bin check box is checked. If it isn’t, check it

Windows XP:
1. i dont know

It’s impossible to ‘delete’ your recycling bin. Do you have any icons on you desktop? Try right clicking on your desktop and going to ‘Arrange Icons By’ and down to ‘Show Desktop Icons’.

1. Right-click an empty area of your desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Click the Desktop tab
4. Click the Customize button
5. Click Restore Default
6. Exit all windows and restart your computer

You didn’t say what operating system, but I think it’s basically the same in them all:

Right click on your desktop and select ‘Personalize’. A window will open with a few options on the left hand side. Click on ‘Change Desktop Icons’. In the next window make sure there is a check in the box next to ‘Recycle Bin’.
