Are airlines shooting themselves in the foot by adding all of these new fees? I realise that many of these fees are not “new” in the sense that they have been around at least a year. But recently many airlines added about $ 10 to their checked baggage fees.
Most of them now are charging $ 5 for a snack, also.
I already have stopped checking bags, and I just bring some dried fruit on the plane with me as a snack. I would rather die of starvation than be nickeled and dimed to death.
I travel to Europe a lot and Asia a lot, so unfortunately I can’t drive, take a train or bus. But the moment they start charging for carry on luggage is the moment I start taking the train or driving.
I am going to S. Korea in July to visit my sister on a military base. Even with her military discount the ticket is still $ 1,200. There is no way I am paying about $ 100 to bring luggage there to. I’d rather go naked than give them any more of my money.
What do you think? Are they shooting themselves in the foot?
military travel discounts europe.
Suzie Homemaker:They know people have to and still want to fly so they get us by the throat. They know then can get it so they do. The next thing will be charging people over a certain weight.
