My Epson projector is mounted on my ceiling but everything shows up up-side-down.?

I do not use the Eco setting but the bulbs last 3-4000 hours and are only around 120.00 and you only need one which is a very good deal. One of the great and unique features of this projector are the LENS SHIFT adjustment wheels, this projector does not have to be dead center on with the screen as those knobs can shift the picture both vertically and horizontally, at least several inches or more depending on how far the projector is away from the screen, in some situations this could mean the difference between having a projector and screen work in a room or not. The lens shift moves the picture left to right or up and down keeping it in focus. So your screen can be way off from being centered with the projector and still fit dead on. The projector itself has plenty of features and adjustments but it did not take long to find a good setting close to out of the box. While this has 2 HDMI inputs I only use one with all of my components running through my A/V receiver, a Pioneer Elite VSX30 for 275 with 7.1 surround which I am very happy with.

Once last thing, the projector is really quiet however, on the brighter settings or after 4-5 hours of continuous use on darker settings you can still hear the fan from a few feet away when there are quiet scenes. Most of time it isn’t noticeable for front mount installations.
I just wanted to echo what another reviewer wrote (first entry) about the bulb failing early in my 8100 – I had mine fail after about 600 hours. I called Epson the next day, got a nice dude named Jake on the phone, he walked me through removing the bulb and inspecting it. After no headway there, he simply took my address and name and sent a new one. I told him I had owned it about 3 months, but he didn’t ask for any serial #, receipt or anything. 3 days later, it showed up and has been working for thousands of hours since

The Epson 8350 really rivals true theater image quality. We use a Draper 16:9 matte white manual 110″ screen and keep light levels very low like a theater would. DB noise levels for the fan (low lamp/energy saving mode=low fan speed mode and is all I ever need for brightness) is superb. You have to stand on a small stool and get right up to the fan to hear it. The fan will NOT be a distraction issue The fan exhausts forward, good design thinking for those installations where the Epson is backed up close to a wall behind it as all the heat can be vented w/ no restrictions or clearance issues like a rear-exhausting projector (my old Pany for example) might have. The menu on the 8350 is diverse and offers every adjustment you will need, and some (“advanced”) settings you probably won’t have to touch. You can save all of your custom settings in memory and there’s 10 or more individual memory locations.

I just got the e-mail via smartphone that my projector has arrived and is waiting by the garage door.

I had problems with the Epson 8350. The projector keep telling me there were problems with the iris when I would start it up. I would then have to restart the projector and hope that I did not get the same error message. I thought the picture was great when it worked though. I ended up returning this projector after getting the same error message with a replacement.

On the second day out of the box, my *first* unit displayed “Auto-Iris error, contact Epson support” and would not otherwise operate.

I am not an expert and it is my first projector. But I did all the research I could do. Initially I want to buy Optoma HD20 but found Epson 8350 was much better. I am so happy. It’s so wasteful to spend so much money on HD TV’s which do not make even half the picture size of this monster. I am projecting it on a 138 inch screen.

The Epson 8350 projector is amazing. The lens shift allows you to offset your projector from the screen. By far the best picture when compared to other similar models. I’ve also used these in my work environment as well

Ok so i have a Epson Projector model EMP-53 and i mounted in on the celing but whenever i use it, it shows up up-side-down so how do i make it not up-side down 10 points for the working one.

If your projector isn’t connected to a PC, I’d recommend taking a look at the manual for ways to invert the screen.

You can download the manual from this page:

You might have mounted it to the ceiling the wrong way up? Just a possibility but had to ask! ;-)

Anyway, if its connected to your PC there might be some simple options.

Some video cards are compatible with a feature that lets you temporarily flip the screen through 180 degrees for this exact purpose.

Try pressing CTRL-ALT and down arrow on the keyboard. You can revert it back with up arrow and put the screen on its side with the side arrows.

If that doesn’t work, the setting might be manually available through the Control Panel and Display options.

Hope that helps!

Here’s the solution. Using the remote control, select Advanced > Ceiling = ON.

> = go to
= means select.

Good luck!
